H & S Accreditations

Our employees have completed the IOSH Working Safely course and the IOSH SPA Passport for the Food Industry. Employees are also trained in other relevant skills needed to complete their jobs safely and securely. These include IPAF Scissor Lift and Boom lift licences, PASMA Tower certificates as well as working in Confined Spaces etc.
All our site managers have been trained in the IOSH Managing Safely and carry out relevant risk and COSHH assessments for each site, distributing the relevant documentation to our employees and clients.

A copy of the company's Health & Safety policy is available on request. This document is provided to all members of staff with appropriate training given and is reviewed yearly. It is the client's responsibility to maintain a safe environment for Precise employees when working on their sites and to provide Precise with copies of relevant risk assessments. The company and employees will observe and carry out further requirements for Health & Safety on site i.e. permits to work and method of work statements.

The company issues all personnel with the relevant protective clothing and equipment necessary to carry out their jobs in safety, as required by the Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992. All employees are fully aware of their responsibility and potential risks and are instructed to use their PPE in accordance with legislative, company policy and risk assessment reviews.

First aid and accident reporting facilities are available at our office and employees will use clients' facilities and reporting procedures when on-site and will be instructed to do so. All our vehicles carry a first aid box which is regularly checked and re-stocked. All accidents will be logged in the Company Accident Book whether or not they fall into the RIDDOR category.
We have an exemplarily record for safety and have never had any enforcement notices or prosecutions served against us. We endeavour to keep our record clean, but should any issues occur we would immediately contact our health & safety management consultant.

National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting
The NICEIC maintains a roll of approved contractors that have proved to comply with BS 7671: Requirements for Electrical Installations. The roll is continually updated on their website. Every year each company on the roll are visited and assessed by NICEIC inspecting engineers. They not only assess the technical capability of a company, but also visit recent electrical installations completed to inspect samples of their work and make sure they comply with BS 7671. The NICEIC is a subsidiary of the Electrical Safety Council. They act as an independent voluntary regulatory body for electrical installation safety matters throughout the UK.
Precise (Networking Solutions Limited) has been accredited by the NICEIC since 2003.

They gather and assess pre-qualification information on behalf of public and private sector procurers, such as a business's area of business, health & safety policies, equal opportunities policies and reference gathering. Their aim to provide a single source of common information and reduce administration burden on suppliers by only filling out one form.

Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme
CHAS was developed by local authority health and safety and procurement professionals, with the support of the Health and Safety Executive. It is available for use by any public and private sector organisations to use when short listing contractors, suppliers and consultants who apply to work for them. It provides information about the health and safety part of their application so they know that they meet acceptable standards of health & safety compliance.
