On Boxing Day 2015, torrential rains caused widespread flooding across the North of England; one such place was Rochadale Town Centre.  The recently redeveloped area alongside the Riverside, like many areas of the town centre were hit when the rain caused the River Roch to burst its banks.

Rochdale Metropolitian Council, like many organisations suffered damage during these flash floods.  The Council’s flagship Head Offices, Number One Riverside, were among the many buildings damaged.

Like most businesses, the Precise engineers were enjoying their annual Christmas holidays when the floods hit; but working against the clock and in difficult circumstances, as the urgent and crucial work was undertaken across the site; Precise carried out repairs to the electrical services and ensured that all systems were safe and robust.

The floods were so devastating, and so many homes and businesses were without power. We were just glad we could help in some way
